Report

Report:This report will take longer to write than it did to play! Game over at 9pm.

Money Super Market Man on first and the denim was slowing him down unlike Brandon who was moving well and taking his chances when loose balls were played. The first of 5 (0-3) results.

Eddy was playing his 3rd game in a row and was close to retiring himself on Wednesday before his opponent beat him to it and retired injured. He strapped his leg up and played a blinder of a match fully concentrated and flashing the ball into the nick from all angles. The second of 5 (3-0).
You may have noticed I have been kind to Eddy in this report which is most unlike me however I owe him an apology as his SON JOSEPH would have loved seeing him play such good quality squash tonight. (Last report quoted daughter!) D’OH!

El Capitano not feeling my best before this game so filled up on chocolate and lucazade and managed to get 3 good games in before the sleep deprivation kicked in and I last another game I should have won! (Casey not mentioning any names but you will break a racket the next time I play you). The third of 5 (3-0).

Del Boy aka ‘Scooby-Doo’ a Spheroid of a man was up against someone of similar statue (déjà vu). Running gag needs to be continued despite Mr T’s injury. Played a great game coming back into form just before Xmas. The fourth of 5 (3-0).

Bob aka ‘Scrabby-Doo’ wants to forget tonight and get to his works Christmas do which I think we all had plans for. The fifth of 5 (0-3). No fighting we have a game Saturday!

Sausage casserole again back by popular demand went down a treat and made the Hallamshire boys generous on the raffle to raise money for court No.5 (The door handle will be engraved sponsored by Hallamshire!).

We still have Rothwell next week so Christmas celebrations on hold until then. However the rest of the league feel welcome to indulge in to much food and drink and do not think about playing squash until early January and a stone heavier to give us a chance of staying near the top of the league!

Thanks
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
