Report: | A must win relegation battle!
Mr T was on first against a mini T. He even started growing a goatee to be like his idol. At first the normal shouts “How many frame shots in one rally” reply “just warming up.” “Do you ever use your strings” reply “restringing is expensive.” “Lucky nick” reply “I spend hours practicing luck!” “What’s the score, this side” reply “sighs?” However by the third game mini T was doing all the above more than the legend Mr T. To no avail as Mr T won 3-1.
Del Boy on at the same time had the same result. Chris has a habit of stealing victory from the jaws of defeat so when Del Boy was up 10-5 and Chris came back to 9-10 you thought he may do it but fluffed an easy volley. Then did the same in the forth. Good result for Del Boy hitting form at a good time in the relegation run in.
El Capitano tried to follow the example shown by Del Boy and Mr T but I just could not find any type of length shot tonight and went down easy. Looking at the score card I did take two games to two clear points so it looked closer on paper than it felt on court. 0-3.
Bob aka ‘2-3’ was on against the skilful Tom on court 2. Tom took the first Bob took the next two. Tom came back to level 2-2 which drudges up so many memories for Bob this season. However with the pressure on for his game and the team match he pulled through and shall been known in future as just plain Bob!
The Artist was on against the runner Tom on court 3. The first game may have had a different winner if Mr T had gone to spec savers but Tom deserved the win and even hit a rolling nick to match the Artists efforts.
Pie and Chips and plan next weeks game against Hull.
